DSP Audio Algorithm Engineer
Algorithm📍 Remote / Xiamen🕒 Full-time / Part-time
Research, implement and optimize core algorithms of the dpdo engine — DSD modulation, noise shaping, upsampling filters.
What you will do
- Design delta-sigma modulators / noise shapers; optimize THD+N and baseband noise
- Implement high-precision FIR filters (Kaiser sinc, up to 65536 taps) with fixed/float performance tuning
- Survey DSD/DXD research frontiers; produce technical evaluations and competitive comparisons
- Collaborate with mastering engineers to turn listening feedback into measurable algorithm improvements
What we look for
- Solid DSP fundamentals: filter design, spectral analysis, quantization noise theory
- Proficient in C/C++; SIMD (AVX2/NEON) or GPU acceleration a plus
- Familiar with audio file formats (WAV/DSF/DFF/FLAC) and resampling theory
- Obsessive about audio quality; able to hear algorithm differences is a bonus
- Delta-sigma / noise shaping / DSD experience is a strong plus
Mastering Engineer
Production📍 Remote / Xiamen🕒 Full-time / Project
Deliver DSD mastering for client lossless projects: noise reduction, dynamics optimization, loudness control and quality assurance.
What you will do
- Apply noise reduction, dynamics optimization and loudness management to PCM lossless sources
- Run DSD modulation and SACD ISO authoring with the dpdo engine; produce mastering reports
- Communicate with clients on sonic preferences; deliver Hi-Res grade masters
What we look for
- Professional mastering/mixing experience; familiar with loudness standards (LUFS) and dynamics chains
- A reliable golden ear able to discern spectral and transient details
- DSD audio knowledge preferred (willingness to learn is acceptable)
- Good communication and delivery discipline; able to meet project deadlines
Web Frontend Developer
Engineering📍 Remote🕒 Part-time / Project
Develop and maintain SonicBro website and tooling: Astro pages, admin UI, bilingual content presentation.
What you will do
- Maintain the SonicBro website (Astro) and admin backend (vanilla JS); keep responsive design and SEO strong
- Implement new pages (jobs, works showcase) with polished animation and interaction
- Optimize Core Web Vitals and GEO (generative engine optimization) markup
What we look for
- Solid HTML/CSS/JS; able to craft refined dark-themed interfaces
- Familiar with Astro / static site building, or eager to learn
- Aesthetic sense for typography, layout and motion details
- Bilingual (Chinese/English) content maintenance a plus
